I built the studio I wished existed when I started.
Born in Brazil, trained in South Jersey, building one designed set at a time. Twenty Eight Studio is the space I couldn't find at the chains: one chair, one artist, no production line.

How the studio came together.
I'm Jennifer Queiroz. I was born in Brazil, moved to South Jersey as a teenager, and started lashing professionally in 2020. Like most artists, I came up through a chain — a converted suite, fluorescent lights, rotating clients. The work paid the rent. The setup never fit the work I wanted to make.
I opened Twenty Eight Studio in Marlton because I wanted a quiet, design-led space — one chair, one artist, no production line. The clients I'd been losing to my own waitlist could finally book the way they wanted to: two-and-a-half hours of calm, a designed set instead of a generic one, and a relationship with the same person every appointment.
The bridal corridor came naturally. Half my lash clients were already asking if I did wedding makeup — turns out the same hand that maps your lashes can map a soft glam, and the same conversation we have at every fill is the one a bride wants on her wedding morning. Now lashes and bridal share the studio's calendar, both built around the same brief: your face, your timeline.
The training program started for the same reason — Portuguese-speaking artists across Burlington and Camden counties kept messaging me asking how to build their own practices. The course is small, in-person, and bilingual. Most graduates I stay in touch with for years.
